To the depths of the ocean: RockTraveler.com trail marker, the Agate owned by Rock Handle DeepDiver, has found a home in 120 feet of warm South American Water off the coast of Cancun. Cozumel, the island located there is a haven for divers. Several great all inclusive travel packages can set someone up right with daily and nightly dives and drift dives along the Palancar reef, 20 miles or so off the coast of Cozumel. There, during a recent drift dive, amidst the coral in this national park, one of our Rock This World agates found a home, waiting for the next attentive diver to drift by and discover its location. DeepDiver tells Rock Hopper that the waters are warm and beautiful, clear and full of tropical fish. Rock Hopper, who is a bit afraid of sharks, asked “how do you avoid getting eaten down there?” DeepDiver chronicled his adventure by blogging on line in his journal. One of the benefits of membership is a great travel adventure journal that is all yours, personal and confidential and no one can read your Rock Traveling ideas and dreams if you don’t want them too. DeepDiver was kind enough to share his Rock adventure and how cool it was! Up early and out to sea, a warm wind along the coast and the water so clear that you can see fish 100 yards away. DeepDiver logged on recording 11 different fish types, eels and small reef sharks. He likes to bring bread in a baggy that he uses to feed the fish as he drifts by. Apparently the current is quite strong and all you have to do is set your bouncy compensator that lets you float along at what ever depth you want. Totally Rock spectacular! DeepDiver said this was his best dive day all year and he wanted to leave a memory of his travel behind. He dives alone but wants to share the experience with someone who has made the dive and understands the thrill. DeepDiver will let us know when another Diver finds his Rock and logs onto Rocktraveler.com and joins in as one of nearly 67,000 travelers on the web site, blogging along, emailing their new friends and connecting this world, one rock at a time!
